Financial Independence is One Big Scam

The title summarizes everything you need to know about money. It’s full of SHIT!

As I chase down the rabbit hole to find out more about the idealism of how money works. I found that there is no true correlation between money and happiness. But then why are still obsessed with money and believe in financial independence equates to success?

It has gone to the point where the US representative Nansi Pelosi, who is already making $223,500 a year still to this day, uses her powers as the representative to manipulate and invest in sure-win investments. Her one-year returns for her stocks are 45.59%, and her option returns are 66.7%.

This is pretty incredible, for the average return of her stocks and options is 56.15%. The S&P, with its raucous best-performing year, is only up 36% from last June.

Since 2008, Nanci and her husband have swollen up more than $140 million from stock investment and earnings as a US representative. Even after making millions of dollars, they are still hungry for money. So is there financial independence?

There are always people chasing after money

If you are tied down by money, aren’t you no different from a slave?

We are all slaves to the dollar. We work our butt off to get paychecks or earn money for providing a service.

Why are we humans so obsessed with this piece of paper?

Money is the root of all evil, and man needs roots. Money makes the world go round, it gives us a number on our head on our value. Don’t you think that is what makes most humans a slave?

What makes a Slave?

The answer:

Not being able to do what we love and the lack of rights to freedom.

Financial independence is not happiness, you will find happiness by doing what you love and having the ability to do whatever you want. Our society has tied the idea of having more money equals happiness, that’s an evil thing to do.

You are stuck in the rat race without knowing

The endless grind to outcompete each other in the pursuit of wealth. It’s interesting to know that most of these people would have more than enough money to last them throughout their entire lives but still choose to find ways to make more money.

Open up and Find Ikigai

Money isn’t Everything

Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means your ‘reason for being. ‘ ‘Iki’ in Japanese means ‘life,’ and ‘gai’ describes value or worth. Your ikigai is your life purpose or your bliss. It’s what brings you joy and inspires you to get out of bed every day.

People hungry for money are obsessed with the blue portion in the image above about Ikigai. But as you can, it generally missed out on the other portions of life which truly makes us happy.

How to be Happy Then?

It’s a tough nut to crack to find happiness but let’s get one thing clear. Financial independence isn’t happiness.

We truly find happiness when we have an almost well-balanced life of doing what we love, work we do best, helping the world, and getting paid well for it.
